This is a minimum 6-month contract opportunity with potential to extend. Overview
Our client is seeking an Information Security Analyst.
The Information Security Analyst is a member of the Information Security team responsible for establishing appropriate information security governance and compliance practices that are simple, streamlined and as efficient as possible. The team focuses on establishing and leading information security governance practices for IS as well as monitoring and managing compliance to internal Information Security policies and applicable external regulations.Role and Responsibilities
- Perform Threat and Risk Assessments for new Solutions' implementations
- Organization of Quarterly IT GCC SOX reviews on behalf of the CIO
- Assist in the design and implementation of information security metrics
- Advice clients on Information management Policy and Information Security Practices
- Participate in the delivery of the corporate Information Security Awareness program
- Assist in the revision of existing information security standards and development of new ones
- Support sensitive internal investigations
- Support eDiscovery requirements
- Lead growth and organization of Disaster Recovery Planning.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 10+ years experience in Information Security
- 10+ years experience in IT
- An understanding of Information Security policy design and implementation
- An understanding of secure Information Management practices and implications
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative influences on Information Security (eg PIPEDA, DHS, NEB)
- Knowledge of Information Security best practices (eg ISO 17799, NIST, ISF)
- Public speaking to small and large groups and the ability to tailor the message and presentation style accordingly
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or SANS GIAC designations
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing experience
- A detailed understanding of Encana's technical environment including products used, their standard configuration and how they interact with each other across the network
- Ability to articulate regulatory requirements to technical audience
- Ability to articulate technical controls to non-technical audience.
