Information and Reporting Specialist

The main responsibilities for this role is to be responsible for the successful delivery of PIEDW/IM200 components in the IM work stream for Cerner Millennium go-live at QEH. The person will liaise with suppliers during deployment and provide support to after go-live.

* Responsible for the IM strategy for the go-live and ensuring BAU post go-live
* Should be able to manage escalations and handle exceptions
* Should be able to liaise with the suppliers in resolving any blocking issues
* PIEDW Migration
* Responsible for migrating from existing BT reporting solution (IM200) to new PIEDW (Power Insight Enterprise Data Warehouse) solution
* High level of understanding of PIEDW solution
* Drive the trust team to build, test and implement new Trust local data ware house solution
* Reporting
* Ensure all mandatory reporting requirements for the trust are being met by the new solution
* Ensure all management information requirements are met
* Ensure that the test scope covers all testing and plans are in place
* Provide support to the test team when required
* KPIs
* Support the development of KPI in readiness of go-live, including the ability to provide daily KPI reports to help manage the weeks after Go Live
* The role will also require the post holder to check for completeness and quality of SUS data submissions, timely uploading of data and maintaining & escalating of data quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
* Knowledge and understanding of
o NHS Data Dictionary.
o NHS statutory and mandatory reports.
o Cerner Millennium application and its table structure design.
o Commissioning data sets used by the NHS.
o Data warehousing design applicable to NHS
* Technical skills - overview/understanding of the following skills
o Business Objects XI R2 and R3 universe design and reporting
o Informatica Power Center.
o SQL Server 2008 R2, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
o Oracle Server 9/10.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Soft skills, running meetings and engaging with Supplier 1:1
* Recognized and relevant track record of delivering and managing Information services within the NHS Acute Sector.
