Industrial Engineer

Interesting INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER Consultant contract opportunity at a well respected firm in eastern Georgia. Projected 6-month assignment. Includes per diem

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Evaluate manufacturing plant production processes identifying areas to improve to increase plant output while maintaining quality control and waste reduction
- Apply Value Stream Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Line Balancing methods to the existing manufacturing process
- Consult across plant disciplines in production, engineering, and maintenance to gather supporting and historical data
- Identify new automation concepts that would increase production and lower costs
- Perform cost benefits analyses to evaluate potential improvements and select the optimum solutions
- Recommend process improvements, new equipment upgrades, and/or capital improvements

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years industrial engineering experience for a manufacturing plant, A PLUS to have automotive supplier related experience
- Solid experience in Value Stream Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Line Balancing
- Need experience with two or more of the following: automation, pick and place robotics, vision systems, arc-welding fixtures, and general robotics
