In Service Engineer

I am looking to hire a In service Engineer for one of my government client.

SC - SECURITY CHECK CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

ESSENTIAL SKILL: Operational support programme & Infrastructure programme, Also working with defence and support at top level,Chief of material (land),Land equipment.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:Naval exp

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The post-holders responsibility is to:

Provide the depth of knowledge required to interface with the Provider (DSG) and respond to technical queries on specialised mechanical and electronic GPTME provided to the Armed Forces.

Input into DSG on the Requirements survey/Performance Specification for new and replacement GPTME.

Consult with Support Authorities/Users for new and replacement GPTME.

Advise Support Authorities/Users on MoD policies for identification, introduction and support of GPTME to meet current and future requirements.

Interface with DSG on tasks associated with the procurement and introduction into service of GPTME, ensuring continuous rationalisation of GPTME by range and population.

Interface with DSG to undertake the engineering evaluation or technical scrutiny of Invitations To Tender.

Establish and record on a Data Base, all GPTME allowances on ships, submarines, shore establishments, bases, shore telecommunication facilities, RFA Vessels.

Review allowances for all vessels undergoing refits.

Screen all requests for increases to entitlement, including liaison with Platform and/or System PTs.

Maintain good understanding of current in-service Test Equipment.

Establish and maintain liaison with the organisations within Defence Support Group, DE&S and other Government Departments. Skills/knowledge required: Recent knowledge and experience of General Purpose Test and Measurement Equipment, including the selection and through-life support of GPTME and the ability to deal with queries on specialised GPTME.
