IMS/RCS Senior Software Engineer

IMS/RCS SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER SANTA CLARA, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our high-visibility client is developing IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform software for next generation tablets and phones. The software will support voice, video and Rich Communication Services (RCS) IMS traffic over cellular and Wi-Fi networks. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is experienced in IMS and RCS software development and system level integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

- Ramp up quickly on requirements, architecture, test environment and tools
- Develop IMS software
- Integrate and validate software subsystems to ensure they satisfy system level functional requirements and use cases
- Debug and triage defects found in software bring-up and validation
- Work with client teams locally and around the world
- Work independently
- Platform level Power and Performance measurement and optimization

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must possess a BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Communication Technology or Electronics
- 2+ years professional programming experience in C/C++ on Windows platforms
- 2+ years professional programming experience in MFC
- 3+ years experience in wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, 3G/LTE, IMS/RCS)
- Experience with Windows Visual Studio
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills in C/C++/MFC on Windows
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle, Object-Oriented Design and Development
- Experience developing software products targeted for Windows Operating Systems (Win7/Win8.x)
- IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) or Rich Communication Services (RCS) experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Perforce/Git/ClearCase/UCM experience would be an added advantage
- Windows COM interface, UI, IPC
