Import & Export Clearance and Controls Manager/Barrow In Furness/£38.38 Ltd per hour/6 months

My client is a well established and highly successful market leader who is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are looking to recruit an import and export clearance and controls manager to be based out of their impressive operations in Barrow In Furness, Cumbria.

This is an initial 6 months contract and is paying £38.38 Ltd per hour. Please find the job description below:

Job Description
Based within the legal department, key responsibilities are:

1. Support, along with the shipping agent, managing the transportation and export documentation and Customs clearances.

2. Authorise release from site and transfer control into freight forwarder control.

3. Manage with the US Supplier that the ITAR documentation is correct and Submarines are authorised against the dispatch of material.

4. Maintain auditable records against import clearances.

5. Undertake point of receipt of goods imported and delivered to site.

Additional Information

Experience:
1. Import and Export clearances incorporating military goods.

2. Logistics and asset control and reporting.

3. Project Management or Commercial Experience within Project delivery environment.

The Individual

1. Professional qualification or experienced in particular area. Essential ability to communicate across a wide range of key stakeholders including those outside of BAE Submarines.

2. Team Player.

3. Self-starter with ability to take on responsibility and can deliver against deadlines.
