Our Central Government Client is looking for an Implementation Design Manager to work on an initial contract until the end of March 2013. This role is based in Central London with some travel required to national locations. This is an immediate requirement.

The Programme is now entering its final stages of delivery. The mandate over the course of the next 18 months is to rollout a common case management system and to implement an assessment system across national locations. As the programme enters this crucial next stage there is a need to secure greater levels of involvement from stakeholders. This will help to ensure that the new ICT systems and underlying business processes are effectively delivered and become Embedded within day-to-day operations.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
*Document the business change engagement models which will underpin the national deployments. The processes will be clear, entry and exit criteria understood, and have buy-in from all key stakeholder
*Document the current and future states, identifying the differences and how this will be addressed by the business change team
*Producing the key document set for Trust and Establishment migrations
*Preparing the standard documentation set for TIM and SIM's for migrations
*Draft the communication plans for implementation activities, ensuring they align with the programme communication strategy
*Assist and produce communiqués, materials, presentations, etc
*Complete the current gaps on the business change models. For example, cutover weekend processes; Go Live Action Plan; Acceptance; Sign off certification; cutover plan; Post go live activities, etc
*Understand and capture the business benefits and identify how these will be realised. Set-up a process to capture and report back on this information
*Draft BaU activities that need to be considered and suggest an approach
*Develop the Implementation Guides
*Assist and advise on the preparation of the rollout plans. Responsible for overseeing both minimising the impact on the Trusts and Establishments
*Educate TIM's and TIM's on all the above
*Provide support to the Delivery Manager

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
This role will initially be to set-up the processes, key document sets and plans to prepare for the business change ensuring the governance is in place to support this.
This role will be accountable for ensuring that clearly documented procedures, processes and templates are in place for the team to manage the change, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders and visibility.
Due to the remit of the role, applications are particularly encouraged from IT professionals who can demonstrate previous experience of managing large scale implementations within the Ministry of Justice.

Skills/Experience Required
Essential: 
* An understanding of offender management business processes (Probation and Prisons) would be highly beneficial 
* An understanding of Management Information Systems and their use in managing day to day operational business 
* Previous implementation experience working on a similar rollout ICT business change project is essential 
* Team player with a structured approach 
* Works well under pressure and to tight timescales 
* Clear communicator
