My client, a leading technology business operating at an international level across a number of different industries require an ILS Practitioner on a contract basis to join a very busy team working on a number of programmes.

As the ILS Practitioner your role will require you to contract with, and manage external suppliers for the delivery of ILS projects as well as develop proactive relationships with suppliers and MoD support agencies. You will possess manager and team leadership skills and have strong analytical skills. This will also include the ability to be flexible in your approach to work and have strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written. Some travel to client sites may be required.

Responsibilities:

- Be comfortable working to high standard autonomously as the lead ILS in a project
- Take responsibility for the implementation of the ILS contractual requirement through all phases of the project ensuring any Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RM&T) elements of each programme are completed in accordance with the requirements in the Statement of Work (SOW) or Sub-System Requirements Document (SSRD)
- Planning of ILS activities, scheduling, cost estimating and deliver in the agreed timescale
- Develop ILS strategies, tailoring the ILS/Support solution and produce proposal preparation in a military environment for a commercial company
- Good working knowledge and experience of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) standards including Def Stan 00-600 and JSP886 in regard to the development life cycle phases
- Develop and maintain ILS Reports, Plans and sub-plans
- Perform ILS analysis such as LORA, MTA, FMECA, DRACAS/FRACAS trend analysis
- Management and Population of the Logistic Support Analysis Record
- Conduct spares modelling and spares recommendations
- Ensure that ILS considerations is included in the design and system design trade-off analyses
- Liaison with management, design engineers, supply chain management and cross-functional groups to ensure ILS requirements and data is captured and considered.

Essential:

- An Engineering background with a relevant degree or previous related experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Track record of successfully leading and/or managing an ILS projects.

Desirable:

- Many years of ILS engineering experience
- Broad spread of ARM&T skills, including both hardware and software
- Experience in the use of ILS Tools such as Omega PS, Analyser, Isograph etc.
- Knowledge of Software Design & Development.
- Experience of working with MoD and the Armed Services and knowledge of the approach to ILS detailed in the Acquisition System Guidance (ASG) and Support Solutions Envelope (SSE)
- Understanding of the processes and procedures for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and/or Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) within the UK MOD domain

SC or SC clearable

Location:

Leatherhead or Reading base and will be required to work at these and other offices (primarily Bristol) as occasion demands
