I C Engineer

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking an I&C Design Engineer for engineering of digital-focused modifications in the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Per diem and mobilization / demobilization will be available for qualified candidates. Actual pay rate will be commensurate with experience, so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Please indicate your desired rate during the application process. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support a turbine controls system upgrade project
- Design package development, develop conceptual designs & specifications for bidding purposes, evaluate alternatives, develop design packages, technical support during implementation, setpoint development, coordinate design efforts with selected designer and conduct reviews
- Design products related to major digital controls system replacements, software evaluations, instrument component upgrades, and control circuits are expected to be developed in accordance with site design basis and cyber security requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or a current PE license is required
- 7+ years engineering experience in the nuclear industry with experience in digital hardware / software modifications
- Experience in the design of digital and I&C modifications
- Current qualification at a nuclear utility as a Modification Engineer under an INPO Accredited Program and knowledge of Passport for design and work order development is highly desirable
