I C Engineer

SEEKING TO HIRE IMMEDIATELY: Long term contract position with a large Ohio Company for a Project Instrumentation and Control Engineer with a BSEE, BSME or BSChE and a minimum of 10 years experience with I&C systems design of DCS such as Ovation and comparable systems for fossil, gas, coal power plants. Prefer local candidates but a maximum of $480.00 per week per diem and $450.00 maximum mobilization may be available for qualified candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for performing I&C engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge to accomplish assigned objectives
- Will participate as an I&C resource to multi-discipline project teams
- Will lead teams of I&C engineers and designers to implement project requirements
- Will interpret and follow applicable regulations, codes and standards
- Will maintain hard copy and electronic records for audit purposes
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various complex major and minor control and monitoring systems

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires BSEE, BSME or BSChE from an ABET accredited institution
- Experience must include P & ID s as related to instrumentation issues, process system descriptions, control communication network diagrams, and process elementary diagrams
- Requires a basic understanding of industrial control and monitoring systems and how they are implemented in power plants
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude a plus
- Experience with servers, computers and computer-based instruments and have worked with Ethernet, Modbus and other communications protocols
- Experience will include analyzing and interpreting technical writings and information such as SAMA logic diagrams, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, elementary diagrams and other schematics
- Experience with AB Rockwell PLCs, ABB Symphony, GE Mark V, or Emerson Ovation a plus
- Must have a basic knowledge, understanding, and application of process control instrumentation
- Proficiency in using MS Access, Excel, Word, SQL, and Visual Basic a plus
