I C Engineer

Instrumentation & Controls Engineer needed for a 4 to 5 month contract (possible temp to hire) position in this clients Portland, OR or Seattle, WA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the chemicals, petrochemicals, and/or pulp & paper industries and be able to assist with supporting the full life cycle of process industries projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Development of the process instrumentation design for chemical, petrochemical, bio-fuel and pulp & paper processing plants
- Prepare and supervise preparation of design drawings, instrument index, instrument data sheets and instrument loop wiring diagrams
- Specify process instrumentation equipment in full compliance with recognized industry standards, safety standards, company requirements and client specifications
- Specify control system hardware and develop control system architecture drawing
- Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements
- Prepare control system analysis (feedback control, loop response, stability analysis, safety system design etc.) as required
- Prepare capital cost estimates for process instrumentation installations
- Prepare engineering estimates and assist in the development of engineering proposals

REQUIREMENTS

- BS degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of experience as a Process Control Engineer supporting process industries (chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper processing plants, etc.) projects
- Working knowledge of ISA Standards and International Codes
- PE license is a plus
