FOR OUR CLIENT IN THE TELECOM SECTOR WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HVAC ENGINEER
START DATE: 1-9-2015
LANGUAGE: English (Dutch is preferred)
DURATION: 6 months (possible extension)
LOCATION: Mechelen
Our client in looking for an engineer to maintain and upgrade the HVAC systems at the headquarters and the stations. Besides from installing new systems, you'll also maintain existing installations. Also involved are Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS). You'll work closely together with suppliers and request quotations. We are looking for somebody who likes to hand-on but can also coordinate the activities of the suppliers. You'll be handling approximately 50 buildings. You'll work closely together with the Network Operations Cernter (NOC) which is responsible for monitoring and incident handling.
TASKS:
Engineering of new HVAC systems at the headquarters and switching stations.
Management, monitoring and maintenance of the already established plants.
System engineering and management of the BMS, system engineering optimizations and ensuring transparency in such a way the BMS can be easily monitored.
Responsible for the engineering, installation and operation of the (fire) safety systems and access control in all the buildings in dialogue with the cable companies.
Management, monitoring and maintenance of these installations.
Engineering of the regulation and control of building-related systems.
Drafting specifications, request quotes and follow-up for all work listed above to buildings and infrastructure.
SKILS:
Education: industrial engineer/graduate degree with 5 years experience
Requires a very thorough technical understanding of technical installations, both power and HVAC, to catalogue and process all alarms in the BMS
Distinction as being Technical Expert of the BMS
Requires a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems for operation and maintenance
Must have a thorough knowledge of the construction industry, specifically for contractors and installers environment
Has a thorough and practical knowledge of access control systems
Technically responsible for all Fire Suppression Systems
Liaison with internal and external parties
Establish procedures for NOC
Training proposals for NOC, on BMS
Technical support for all (fire) safety procedures
