HV Electrical Proposals or Tendering Engineering Manager

A company working primarily in the electrical distribution network industry is looking for a new technically minded proposals manager to bid on tenders and win large and important new contracts. The work you do will define the contracts that the company wins over the next few years and ultimately define the direction that growth excels in. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company embarking on a period of rapid expansion with a large portfolio of exciting projects.

Reporting to the Business Development Director you will be responsible for developing a new service/product and customer base - including DNO/TNO's, power station owners and big names in the rail industry. A brief list of your activities is as follows:

* Responding to tenders and PQQ's for the full range of Distribution Engineering activities including EHV/HV/LV substation work, (Civil and Electrical), EHV/HV/LV overhead lines, electrical and civil design, wayleaves and consents.
* Help develop new service/product/customers including DNO's, Power station owners and major rail infrastructure players.
* Understand clients needs and what they are looking for in a response and being able to deliver that.
* Work closely and collaboratively with Business Development Managers, attend meetings with them to develop Client specific winning tender responses

To be in a strong position for this position you will need the following competencies:

* Technically aware of electrical and civil engineering
* Have detailed understanding of DNO/TNO type client drivers and needs and the regulations they work under.
* Understanding of RIIO regulation regime
* Be credible in front of DNO/TNO clients
* Exceptional standard of written and spoken English
