Human Resource Administrative Assistant Job

GIS QUALITY ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Experience in a Large Government Agency Geospatial and Cartographic data/products.
- Quality Assurance supporting Mapping and Geospatial Projects
- COTS geospatial software applications (ESRI ArcGIS, ArcSDE, FME, MapMerger).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Successful candidates should have prior experience in the Quality Assurance discipline, working in support of advanced Mapping and Geospatial projects.
- Direct experience working with raster and/or vector geospatial data in a quality capacity is imperative.
- Conduct data and product inspections utilizing various COTS geospatial software tools described below, to ensure defined acceptable levels of quality.
- Identify program improvement opportunities and recommend process and procedure adjustments to realize operational efficiencies, performance enhancements, and quality gains.
- Interface with technical representatives and subcontractor personnel to review imagery and mapping data, resolve technical issues, and track and report on quality metrics.
- Identifies and reports on recurring problems and discrepancies for disposition and corrective actions as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE.

- BS/BA degree in cartography, geography, earth science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related technical discipline, or a minimum of three (3) years of direct NGA geospatial data/product experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with NGA Vector Feature Data production/integration or hard -copy TLM and MDG production.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with various COTS geospatial software applications (ESRI ArcGIS, ArcSDE, FME, MapMerger).

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

- Written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- Understanding of Windows environment including standard Microsoft Office tools is required.
- Previous experience with Scripting languages and productivity tools such as Python, ModelBuilder and SQL is desired.
