Consultant - Human Factors & Ergonomics Consultant

My client is a design and innovation consultancy that develops successful, award-wining, and world-first products and experiences for over 35 years.

Purpose of the role and responsibilities
Working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams in the area of usability/human factors to plan,
manage and conduct research activities.
Analyse and translate usability data to demonstrate that user needs have been met and that devices are
safe and effective for intended users, uses and use environments.

Key skills/experience
* A 2:1 degree or masters in human factors/ergonomics. Extensive commercial experience in a
broad range of human factors and ergonomic principles and methods.
* Demonstrable experience of qualitative and quantitative human factors and user research
methods, and the ability to tailor these to project needs.
* Experience of designing and moderating usability tests for products or interfaces.
* Experimental design and analysis skills and a high level of numeracy.
* Ability to collect data effectively with strong attention to detail and a high degree of rigour.
* Empathetic and passionate about people and improving their lives and environments through
design.
* Has a creative approach to embedding human factors into product development and able to
develop and use new methods and techniques as required.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong MS Office skills (particularly Word and Excel).
* Flexible working style with ability to work both independently and as a team member.
