HTML5 developer/Web developer

For our client in region Leuven we are looking for a HTML5 developer.

You are responsible for the technical realisation of project related transactions, ie responsible for independently implementing the design of newtransactions within the architectural framework and respecting development standards.You are motivated and interested in web based technologies. You are a team player. You are communicative and can easily translate functionalrequirements into a technical implementation, and discuss your own technical requirements with your Front End and Back End colleagues.You have attention for quality, maintainability, performance and testing. You document your status and progress in our JIRA ticketing system and document your code.You have the ambition to obtain the best possible result for our customer and are not afraid to point attention points and/or propose improvements along the way.

HTML5
- Jade: language forming an abstraction layer above HTML5

Javascript
- Coffeescript: compiling into JavaScript
- Angularjs: JavaScript MVC framework
- Requirejs: JavaScript dependency management Underscore: JavaScript utility functions library Jasmine, phantomjs, karma: JavaScript testing Coffeelint: coffeescript validation

CSS3
- SASS/Compass: language/framework forming an abstraction layer above CSS3
- (components of) Twitter bootstrap: layout framework
- Csslint, casperjs: CSS testing

Service Layer
- Java/Spring based web services
- Tomcat: development server

Build/deploy
- Node.js, Grunt, Jenkins
- Bower: JavaScript dependency management
- PhoneGap/Cordova: packaging of HTML5 app into native Shell
- GIT: source control

Profile

Education
Master or Bachelor in ICT or comparable by experience.

Technical skills

Must haves:
Strong JavaScript skills; knowledge of advanced JavaScript concepts eg scope, functional programming (closures), event bubbling, inheritance, threading
Knowledge of JavaScript MVC frameworks (angularjs, emberjs, backbone, ), either professionally or as a private interest
Experience in enterprise software development
Basic CSS knowledge

PLUS:
Java knowledge, preferably on webservices/REST/JSON Coffeescript
Angularjs
Design patterns
Advanced CSS3 knowledge

Environment:
GIT, Nodejs, Tomcat, Webstorm, Eclipse, Firefox/Firebug/Chrome Dev Tools
