Projektbeschreibung

You will co-ordinate ESCS HSE training activity through close liaison with a number of stakeholders across ESCS and into the corporate arena, whilst managing external training providers and a training budget.

You will have responsbility to continuously improve ESCS HSE training process, streamlining this activity throughout ESCS where feasible whilst maintaining a first class relationship with all stakeholders involved in the process.

As the HSE Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and management of training courses from initial requirement identification by the HSE Management Team through to implementation and ongoing administration.

In order to achieve this, you will liaise directly with subject matter experts within the ESCS HSE Team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all training development work undertaken is completed to the specification and within budget.

This role operates across the ESCS Division and engages with the key HSE stakeholders in this area. In addition the role has close links with the Centres of Excellence and external bodies such as training providers who design and deliver interventions on behalf of the post holder.

You will be able to show initiative and propose ideas to complement existing and new training processes and opportunities.

As part of the wider ESCS HSE Team, you will be expected to champion the drive towards Health, Safety and Environmental ambitions at all times.

Working with HSE Team members to conduct effective HSE training needs analyses, seeking continuous improvement and business unit consistency in the area of HSE training.

Some of your key responsbilities will include (a full job description can be located at ):

Manage relationships with external suppliers, provide input into identification of and selection of appropriate suppliers if required

Undertake role of subject matter expert for the HSE community with regards to Training and Development.

Design, deliver and manage ad hoc and business as usual HSE training programmes ensuring that they meet BU needs and evaluation leads to continuous improvement of their effectiveness, involving HSE subject matter experts to develop appropriate content.

Develop and manage training administration systems where required.

Selection, utilisation and relationship management of appropriate external training providers where required.

Manage the ESCS HSE Training budget including projecting, monitoring and reconciling ensuring cost efficiency and fulfilment of any KPI's.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of some if not all of the following:

Exhibit professionalism, along with excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.

Have a good understanding of current Health and Safety challenges within EDF Energy.

Capable of forming effective working relationships, internally and externally with key stakeholders

Appropriate HSE & LD&T qualifications (NEBOSH Cert / Degree / CIPD).

Experience of managing budgets.

Basic knowledge of HSE legislation and best practice.

Awareness of own limits and when to utilise subject matter experts across the HSE team.

Knowledge of LD&T techniques and strong background in identifying, designing, development and implementation of varied LD&T solutions.

Willingness to positively and constructively challenge as and when required to ensure best HSE LD&T outcome.

Ability to provide consultancy service to HSE managers & business stakeholders.
