HSE Specialist - Sr (San Antonio,TX)

A mid-size E&P Company that acquires, explores, develops, and produces oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGL) primarily in the domestically is currently seeking a full-time Sr. HSE Specialist to be based around the San Antonio,TX area.

It's core development programs, including Eagle Ford, Altamont, Wolfcamp, south Louisiana Wilcox, and Haynesville. This role looks after the Eagleford and the field office is in Dilley,TX. RELOCATION ASSITANCE AVAILABLE!

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The candidate will be responsible for providing full time health and safety support to the Eagle Ford, Texas operations based field office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Interpret safety regulations and company standards, and provide safety support for Drilling, Completions, Production, and Construction field operations.
* Assist in the development and implementation of contractor safety programs at the field level, including initial and annual evaluations and approvals, periodic contractor field verifications, orientations, and influencing contractors day to day.
* Inspect oil and gas production facilities for compliance with OSHA, State and Company standards, regulations, and standards.
* Lead incident investigations and reviews and support the preparation of relevant documentation using root cause methodologies.
* Practice and reinforce safe work practices through behavioral observation process and by coordinating and conducting HSE observation training for company workforce.
* Lead team(s) in developing, improving, and executing programs that align with company scorecard goals

REQUIREMENTS:

* 8+ years of progressive applicable HSE work related experience in the oil and gas business is required.
* A degree from an accredited College or University in science, engineering, technology, occupational safety or related discipline is preferred.
* Excellent understanding of OSHA and other related regulations applicable to oil and gas industry.
* Capable of traveling and spending 50% of the time in the field environment.
* Project a professional image and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
