HSE Field Technican

An independent E&P Company that has focused on expanding its operations onshore by acquiring producing properties and exploration acreage in West Texas, as well as by participating in onshore exploration wells through non-operated working interests is currently a HSE Tech to join the team in Midland,TX.

You will also have the challenge and reward of working on a broad variety of projects and operational issues that involve onshore drilling and production activities.

Responsibilities:
*Serve as member of the local leadership team.
*Serve as a local point of contact in the area of HSE.
*Assist in the local inspection and audit process; regular walk-thru's - report results, recommended solutions, and follow up on any outstanding action items identified.
*Keep updated on new internal and external HSE standards and procedures & provide guidance accordingly. Ensure standards are implemented timely & effectively.
*Ensure effectiveness of auditing program.
*Coordinate development of the integrated annual HSE training plan and manage execution.
*Conduct investigations of incidents, including accidents, injuries, spills and releases and prepare associated reports.
*Provide subject matter expertise & coordinate injury and illness case management.
*Be visible and available to provide HSE support to operations and promote HSE expectations. Provide HSE input to operations management.
*Support COMPANY's Contractor Management process.
*Support COMPANY's commitment to safety by both complying & demonstrating safe work practices.
*Participate in review and implementation of work permits, including JSA, process.
*Support and improve processes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Identify and mitigate workplace exposures, work hazards, and risks; coach and mentor field personnel.
*Support and assist in the COMPANY Environmental Compliance programs including: SPCC review, training and inspections process; pit remediation and any air permitting or tracking requirements.
*Support and assist in the COMPANY Drug and Alcohol programs.
*HSE Trainer / Facilitator

Qualifications:
*5+ years oil and gas industry experience and familiarity with OSHA/EPA/RRC safety and environmental or related programs
*Experience working in a fast paced environment and management of large workload with continually changing priorities.
*Good organization skills are a must along with the ability to multi-task.
*Computer input and data management skills
*Strong interpersonal skills
*Proficiency in MS Office
