HR Senior Business Partner

Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2013

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £46,000 - £69,100 (pro rata)

Full-time: 37 hours per week

THE ROLE
The Human Resources function is focusing on the delivery of leading edge policies, systems and processes which enable leaders and their teams to perform to the best of their ability now, and into the future. The Council's Corporate Plan and People Strategy set the organisational context for H R Business Partners and defines the key areas in which they will impact on service improvement. H R Business Partners will develop strong and resilient client relationships and help Directors and Leadership Teams to shape and execute their service plans; they will also apply expertise in change management to ensure that change is managed well and that the planned benefits are realised.
Within the H R function, these roles will champion Directorate business needs in contributing to the development of the People Strategy, and negotiate H R activity levels to meet defined service priorities.

JOB PURPOSE
To support leaders to achieve Corporate and Directorate goals through strong professional relationships and the delivery of high value H R activity that aligns the People Strategy and Directorate Service Plans.

Any successful applicant to this post would be appointed on a fixed term contract.
