HR Director in London for Government Sector Organization

DURATION: 9+ Months Initially with possible extension


- Providing HR insight and input into the development of business strategy
- Bid evaluation of HR schedules, including application of TUPE
- Identifying HR best practice on transfer of staff under TUPE regulations
- Delivery of HR advice on staff transfers, redundancies, changing roles and role evaluation as part of strategic change programmes and projects
- Identification, management and resolution of HR risks and issues arising out of strategic change programmes and projects
- Formulation of strategies appropriate to the achievement of strategic change programmes
- Advising on compliance with employment law
- Lead on briefing/interacting with GAD or other actuary advisers
- Lead interaction with legal TUPE advisers


- HR director, or held a senior HR role
- Managed an HR team
- Advised and supported senior management on a regular basis
- Managed the transition of organised groupings as part of strategic change programmes
- Produced and managed detailed transition plans for staff transfer within business change programmes
- Conducted role evaluation and staff selection as part of a strategic change programme
- Provided advice on the Fair Deal' arrangements, preferably including advice on the New Fair Deal' arrangements including true-up of contributions
- Supported the conduct of major procurements in the public sector including advising on staff transfer issues
- Involvement in major change programmes, including outsourcing, second-generation outsourcing or in-sourcing projects, preferably in each case in respect of technology sector or technology-related projects
- Experience with staff transfers from large government suppliers such as HP, Steria or Atos to other suppliers an advantage

Experience of direct transfers between the civil service and external providers
