POSITION SUMMARY

This Human Resources Consulting (HRC) position is established to support an IT workgroup that is experiencing significant change in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This assignment is fully dedicated to the workgroup, and will carry out short-, interim-, and long-term initiatives and generalist HR services.

The HRC serves as the primary point of contact for the delivery of integrated HR services across all strategic and tactical HR functions.

The HRC fulfills four essential functions in support of his/her clients:
1. design and/or deploy solutions, initiatives, and programs to address chronic challenges, strengthen the organization's effectiveness, and enable achievement of the organization's strategies,
2. execute and interpret existing policies and practices,
3. respond effectively to urgent situations, and
4. facilitate workplace issues toward resolution.

The HRC is a true generalist who will work on all roles at any time, as needed. Responsibilities will be carried out in partnership with client, HR peer leader, HR director, and HR Centers of Excellence. The position may require occasional single- or multi-day travel.

This position reports to the Director, Human Resources Consulting for IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Contribute to development and/or implement the IT HR Strategic Roadmap plans, on-time and on-budget
3. Coach management and non-management employees with tactical and long-term perspectives to grow leadership, managerial, and team capabilities;
4. Complete exemplary investigations with urgency, and complete documentation
5. Identify and coordinate timely training solutions and services to enable and foster cultural change;
6. Advise and guide clients regarding short-, intermediate- and long-term organizational and individual staff decisions covering employee relations, retention, compensation, staffing, terminations, organizational design, development planning, organizational changes, and other business needs
7. Interpret and uphold HR policies and practices; advocate changes where appropriate
8. Lead, plan, and/or contribute to complex team objectives to support clients, IT, and/or broader groups within KP
9. Facilitate and/or arrange for facilitation of group problem-solving and/or development sessions on issues of human capital, as appropriate
10. Strengthen client usage of performance management and performance development practices for greatest effectiveness

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Eight+ years experience in a client-facing HR consulting capacity in medium or large sized organizations accountable for a geographically dispersed workforce. At least 5 of these 8 years' experience must be in information technology, healthcare/biotech, financial services, and/or related service industries. Demonstrated expertise and effectiveness in at least 5 of the following areas of expertise: change leadership, organizational design, leadership development, talent and team development, compensation management, legal and regulatory requirements, investigations, employee and labor relations. Excellent team building, conflict resolution, group interaction, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills. Demonstrated ability to lead professionals and manage others through influence and collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field, or additional equivalent level work experience in Human Resources. SPHR strongly preferred. Masters' degree preferred. BA REQUIRED

S/He will also demonstrate highly effective partnering and influencing capabilities, and strategic systems thinking, as well as clear critical thinking. Team/project leadership expertise, and a clear eye toward continuous improvement are essential to success.
