Spring Technology are looking for a HR Assistant for our public sector client based in Manchester.

Key Tasks:
* Attending briefing meetings with recruiting managers
* Ensuring all recruitment is approved and conducted in accordance with best practice and established policies and procedures;
* Quality assuring role profiles and job adverts
* Advertising roles, predominately internally and in the civil service
* Candidate management
* Arranging interviews and assessment days and ensuring that all reasonable adjustments are put in place
* Assisting recruiting managers in preparing for shortlisting and interviews, quality assuring interview questions and assessments, supporting robust decision making and validating outcomes
* HR panel member at shortlisting and sifting meetings or securing support of the relevant HR staff member (resourcing manager, HR BPs)
* Recording, monitoring and tracking all recruitment activity, including EO monitoring, and escalating all risks to the Resourcing Manager;
* All aspects of Recruitment admin - inc. maintenance of all recruitment filing
* Assisting managers with the offer process and working closely with other HR colleagues to ensure the issuing of contracts and security checks.
* Reporting on recruitment activity to the Resourcing Manager and HR Business Partners

Essential Skills:
- Experience of working in a HR team supporting managers with their recruitment and ensuring compliance with process, best practice and employment law;
- Experience of interviewing and sifting against application forms;
- Experience of recruitment admin;
- Experience of advising on competency based assessment and interviews
- Demonstrable proficiency in the recruitment and selection life cycle with an understanding of the relative interdependencies between other areas of HR
- Knowledge/experience of factoring reasonable adjustments and equality considerations into the recruitment and selection process;
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to influence others
- Attention to detail with excellent organisational skills,
- Resilient and a flexible team player
- Intermediate Word and Excel

Desirable Skills:
- Experience of creating/providing support to managers in writing role profiles/job descriptions.
