Rate: £26.54 per hour LTD

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a HR Advisor for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the HR Advisor role is to provide proactive, professional and business focussed HR support to a business area to ensure maximum operational performance from the business. To have active involvement in local site and UK HR project work.

Key Responsibility Areas

The successful HR Advisor candidate will be responsible for the following:
Act as part of customer group's management team and work with them to identify the people priorities to deliver high performance
Lead or manage as necessary, the provision of appropriate resourcing, reward and L including effective succession planning and single point failure mitigation
Support, guide and coach line managers to ensure maintenance of good employment relations; including supporting disciplinaries & grievances
Act as part of site and UK HR & L&D team to ensure consistency of approach across all areas Interface with shared HR services to ensure service meets customer expectation
Support the HR site lead in the implementation of the HR strategy and provide appropriate functional support for activities such as salary review, performance appraisals and performance management

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
The ideal candidate will have a solid HR generalist background, with particular experience in dealing with varied employee relations issues.
Experience of working within the defence/aerospace industry, engineering and/or manufacturing environment is preferable but not essential.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels
Good organisational, time management and planning skills, with the ability to work to a demanding schedule.
Must be a good team player with a pro-active attitude and flexible approach
Strong employee relations skills
Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
Knowledge of current HR best practice
Change management
Coaching & influencing
CIPD qualified or equivalent level of experience
