HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT - LEVERTON HALL

PERMANENT, FULL TIME CONTRACT

ANNUAL SALARY £20,199 -21,519

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience in Hair & Beauty Therapy and Nail Art, to join our team at Leverton Hall.

This role is based in a secure residential children's home where we provide the education provision for vulnerable young people aged 11 -16 years.

THE ROLE

To work with teachers, as part of a professional team, to support learning activities for vulnerable learners.

This role will serve to assist the Senior Leadership Team in the development of an 'outstanding' quadrant provision, which works cohesively as one service.

Working alongside other schools in partnership, this role will support the effective day to day leadership and management of the quadrant provision. It will act to build capacity in-centre, and within mainstream school settings, in order to meet the needs of all vulnerable learners within a given quadrant area.

You will support the Narrowing the Gap agenda ensuring Achievement for All, and will
encourage a sense of 'learning communities', which extends outside of the provision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to at least Level 2 in English
- An understanding and knowledge of the statutory framework, policies and procedures relative to an educational environment;
- Have a full understanding of the work of each learning community.
- Organise and manage the learning environment and resources.
- Can evidence the development of pupils skills and knowledge via ICT applications
