High Capacity Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a HIGH CAPACITY ENGINEER to join one of our leading clients in Manhattan, NYC, New York.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design of Outside Plant facilities to answer High Capacity service requests in Manhattan.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, time management and prioritization skills.
- Negotiate, coordinate and communicate outside plant engineering matters, including permit applications, field forces, private owners, customers, building contractors, utilities and government agencies.
- Will access multiple databases such as REQUESTNET, vBUILD,TIRKS, WFADO, WFACI, LFACS, SWITCH and ICGS among others.
- Use computer assisted drafting tools such as ICGS and VISIO.
- Use field notes (self prepared) and multiple databases to analyze data, prepare specific estimates, routine work orders and/or other-defined projects for growth, customer demand, relief and damaged plant in the outside plant network.

Job Qualifications:
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of OSP placing and splicing techniques for copper and fiber.
