HCS SALES SUPPORT/COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR PORTLAND, OR CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

The Comms Coordinator partners with the Sales Team by representing the clients Healthcare Services in business acquisition and retention opportunities through the development, coordination, execution and management of marketing, communications, and business proposal efforts and initiatives. Candidate represents Healthcare services in divisional and cross-divisional communication projects, performing project management, system/data analysis and research for purposes of project completion. Interacts with all levels of management, internal and external customers such as account representatives, employer groups, producers and outside consultants to determine support needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field
- 7 years of experience in healthcare administration, clinical program delivery, project/product management or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience developing marketing plans
- Clinical background and experience strongly desired
- Proven ability to manage multiple project and priorities to meet established deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in writing concise relevant and compelling communications
- Demonstrated understanding of supply/demand management and maintenance communication materials including RFP response, PowerPoint presentations, marketing collateral and other sales/promotional materials
- Proven ability to analyze, organize and use complex clinical information to support organizational and program value propositions for multiple audiences across multiple mediums
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence the activity of others both individually and within a project team setting
- Ability to negotiate and resolve complex and sensitive project and team issues with diplomacy and persuasiveness
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (including Visio and MS Project), PMAPS database software and other corporate software as required
- Experience with clinical program scope, purpose and operations
- Understanding of health insurance sales cycle and processes
- Experience in financial or clinical analysis and statistical reporting

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND OUTCOMES

- Leads the Healthcare Services Division in providing accurate, engaging and compelling responses to RFP/RFI or survey questionnaires. Facilitates the distribution, tracking and management of inquiries pertaining to RFPs, RFIs and surveys as needed.
- Works closely with clinical and operational areas in the division to ensure products and services are correctly represented and communicated to the market. This representation can take the form of RFP response content, marketing collateral, sales support materials and preparation of external presentations to brokers, employer groups, consultants and others.
- Develops and/or creates Healthcare Services pre-sale and post-sale material content that is accurate and consistent with Healthcare Services messaging and value proposition. Maintains inventory and evaluates content relevance and use.
- Maintains resource materials for sales and marketing staff. This includes responsibility for developing new content and maintaining HCS Promotion Intranet site to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information for Sales, Underwriting and Marketing and other internal departments.
- Responsible for development of documents regarding assigned projects, including work plans, progress reports and project outcome reports.
- Assists Sales Support Team with meeting preparation, work flow management, budgeting, developing work objectives and work plans.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Serves on divisional and cross-divisional committees as a representative of Healthcare Services, as requested.
- May be required to work outside normal working hours
