Health Economist

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Develop HEOR strategy for the medical plan for pre-launch and/or post-marketed products, with guidance from manager.
* Design, develop, and conduct HEOR studies for assigned product and
indications in the ophthalmology therapeutic area, with guidance from
manager.
* Develop, maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of role, including disease
state and clinical topics, market/ customer landscape, and emerging issues.
* Collaborate with various internal functions including medical directors,
commercial, managed care marketing, development and other Medical
Affairs functions to ensure alignment of activities with key partners and
stakeholders.
* Manage budgets, timelines and deliverables as planned, with guidance from
manager.
* Participate in HEOR and cross-functional projects.

efficiently with others in a matrixed team environment. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Masters Degree (health economics, epidemiology, life sciences, public
health); Doctoral Degree in above or other related disciplines is preferred.
* Minimum 2-3 years' professional experience in a relevant field (e.g. health
economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, clinical development, pricing &
reimbursement).
* Approximately 1 - 3 years' relevant health economics and outcomes research
in or with the pharmaceutical/biotechnology, medical device industry.
* Demonstrated technical expertise in health economics and
outcomes research: design of prospective and retrospective studies,
pharmacoeconomic modeling, and patient reported outcomes.
* Knowledge of the overall drug development, medical affairs, and post-marketing planning relevant to pharmaceutical/biotechnology organizations.
* Working knowledge of private and public sector reimbursement
environment and requirements for evidence-based and P&T formulary
review.
