Health and Safety Technician Job

HEALTH AND SAFETY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in OXNARD, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- More than one (1) year experience in environmental safety and health
- Working knowledge of ESH, OSH regulations

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepare and retain training documents, job safety analyses, and other documents related to site safety activities as required by site management and corporate staff.
- Responsible for auditing of site as required by site management and corporate
- Through leadership of all ESH required programs at the site, the effective employee will balance site observations, auditing, and employee coaching in day-to-day activities with documentation and development of site training and improvement areas.
- Participate in evaluating new equipment, materials and processes for safety.
- Documents non-compliance or hazardous conditions found and the remedial action taken.
- Must keep abreast of changes in all OSHA, VPP and state safety codes, permits and regulations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Intermediate to expect level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
