Head Of Risk Management

I am currently recruiting a Head of Risk Management for a global broker-deal. The opportunity is located in New York City with a global investment firm. This individual will be responsible with running a limited suite of risks that required oversight, management and reporting. The role will include cross risk management functions in Market, Credit and Operational Risk management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Daily review with regard to liquidity, holding period and trading losses by the risk management function * Fully control client orders via Direct Market Access routing as well as adhere to regulatory client controls as stipulated by regulation 15c3-5; * Client trading limit management supported by the risk management function * Review, monitor and report operational losses and incidents * Perform regular review of Risk Control Self Assessments for each business unit and activity * Develop local credit approval processes for client limits * Assist the global Head of Credit Risk Management implement support systems for client limits * Support the global Head of Market Risk rolling out control processes for the US Facilitation desk * Roll-out of operational risk management processes and analyses such as Risk Control and Self Assessment analyses, incident reporting and error/loss analyses. We are seeking someone with 5+ years in a risk management role in addition to good working knowledge of the management practices for market risk, credit risk and operational risk. Experience and knowledge of regulatory guidelines, trading, risk systems, risk framework and broker-dealers is ideal.
