Head Of Quality Control, Microbiology- Pharmaceuticals- Basel

My client are an internationally recognised organistion with a diverse portfolio of products in the life sciences sector. They produce and manufacture products in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, OTC and nutritional industry. They have over 20,000 staff world wide and represent a challenging, diverse and opportunistic environment to work in.

Together we are searching for a motivated individual to work as the Head of Quality Control Biology. The post holder will assume responsibility to manage and grow the Microbiology Quality Control teams working in the laboratories. As Head of, you will also manage any investigation of results out of specification and assure that analytical methods are validated for intended use. Working to GMP standards will be a key requirement , as will ensuring that the laboratories meet company SOP's and internatioanl regulatory requirements.

The preferred candidate will possess a PhD or an MSc in Micriobiology or a very closely related field, and then at least 5 years commercial experience. Strong knowkedge of Haemostasis is preferred and knowledge of Microbiology good to have. Management experience is important, as you will be taking responsibility for staff and staff development. Expert knowledge of GMP is mandatory, and fluency in German and English will complete your profile.
