Goal of the Function:

The Head of Product, Marketing and Sales is a senior management position and is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.

The Head of Product, Marketing and Sales will report directly to the Business Unit Manager and is primarily concerned with ensuring the commercial success of the organization. The role will require a combination of strong business insights with strong marketing and business development skills. The incumbent will make sure that all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives.

The Head of Product, Marketing and Sales will lead the product, sales & marketing team in drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable the Business Unit to achieve its long-term objectives. He/she will act and think as a leader. He/she will align the commercial department's values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm and commitment towards the mission.

REPORTS HIERARCHICALLY TO: Business Unit Manager

The Head of PMS is part of the senior management team of the business unit. This position is directly responsible for leading managers of the Product, Marketing and Sales division and indirectly responsible for all employees within the division.

Function Areas:

ACCOUNTABILITY 1: COMMERCIAL STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

- Develop strategic direction and plans for the Business Unit with regard to all commercial functions including sales, marketing, business development and customer experience.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities for the Business Unit's product & service portfolio in Belgium and internationally.
- Develop and drive the pricing strategy of the Business Unit.

ACCOUNTABILITY 2: PRODUCT MANAGEMENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

- Define, design and monitor the implementation of market-driven capabilities for our solutions.
- Balance market needs, competitive offerings, customer enhancement requests and company strategy for guiding our solutions in order to drive profitable growth for the business unit.
- Bring focus and precision to the details of the product requirements and design, while establishing a strong vision of how the products will be used and perceived in the market (responsibility of developing the product lies within the Development Factory)
- Opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to the top and bottom-line by successfully executing roadmap strategies and bringing valuable, highly differentiated and elegantly designed capabilities to market

ACCOUNTABILITY 3: ORGANIZATION OF PRODUCT, SALES & MARKETING DEPARTMENT

- Responsible for the implementation and achievement of the commercial mission, goals and financial objectives.
- Develop long-term plans and budgets for the department and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
- Ensure systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the department.
- Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel.
- Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote and guide qualified personnel.
- Cultivate a culture of focused hard work and openness.

ACCOUNTABILITY 4: BUSINESS ACUMEN - PAYMENT ECO-SYSTEM

- Partner with tier 1 and tier 2 banks, Software partners and business customers.
- Anticipate and identify their challenges, real and perceived, and develop strategies to provide solutions.
- Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and identify potential opportunities.
- Structure appropriate partner models to achieve mutually beneficial business results and drive execution of related partnership agreements.
- Identify new partnering opportunities that leverage the client's capabilities related to payment technologies, products and services.
- Identify market unmet needs and nominate product concepts for internal development.
- Engage with key opinion leaders at conferences, trade events, and other industry-specific engagements to help foster formal and informal communication pathways.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master degree

EXPERIENCE:

- Proven experience as Head of PMS or similar managerial role in an international context
- Excellent knowledge of the payment eco-system
- Goodknowledge of the international FinTech market
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and business development of IT-platforms
- Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
