Head of Health and Safety

Health and Safety Manager/Head of Health and Safety wanted.

Skills needed: Health and Safety Manager/Head of Health and Safety experience, NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma, welfare legislation.

My Bristol based client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager/Head of Health and Safety.

The Directing Board have stated that the Health and safety of people is a priority particularly as staff work in a wide variety of environments on a nationwide basis. It has identified its Risk Appetite for Health & Safety as 'Minimalist' (a commitment to ultra safe options that have a low degree of inherent risk)
A review has taken place and a range of tactical improvements have been made. However, there is a requirement to fully review and redevelop the client's overarching health and safety strategy.
The successful candidate will be required to develop a new health and safety Strategy and make recommendations as to how this should be taken forward and what the health and safety reporting structure should be within the organisation.

This will include a full review of our current approach and a potential re write of their:
Health and safety Policy & Arrangements.
Organisational responsibilities
Approach to Measuring & Monitoring performance and the organisation's H&S culture
Consultation & Communication
Managers Guidance

Skills required for the Health and Safety Manager/Head of Health and Safety:
*Experience of successfully developing and implementing strategy and policy to achieve high level objectives
*Experience of Stakeholder management, developing and implementing engagement strategies and Communications Plans.
*Excellent communication skills (written we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
