POSITION: HEAD OF COST MANAGEMENT

LOCATION: WILTSHIRE

DURATION: 12 MONTHS

RATE: UP TO £850 PER DAY

Outsource UK are actively seeking to recruit a Head of Cost Management contractor on a 12 month project, based with one of our key clients that we are working with as first tier supplier.

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Head of Group Cost Management you'll be responsible for leading and driving the delivery of financial performance for the Group Services Division.

Leading the Finance engagement for Group Services, which includes Group wide IT service and infrastructure, property, security and payments, your role will be to provide a full range of value adding financial support and challenge to this Division. This will include: financial performance management, forecasting and modelling; capacity analysis; cost efficiency initiatives. In addition you will play a key role in the implementation of a sourcing agenda across Group Services. Your job will be to introduce external and commercial insight and challenge to performance reviews, planning exercises and strategic reviews.

- Lead and drive delivery of financial performance for the Group Services Division
- Provide a full range of value adding financial support and challenge to Group Services; which will include: financial performance management, cost management strategy, forecasting and modelling; capacity analysis; cost efficiency initiatives; 3rd party tenders and contract negotiations.
- Development of cost drivers and associated options for onward allocation of cost.
- Introduce external and commercial insight (including benchmarking) and challenge to Group Services performance reviews, planning exercises and strategic reviews.
- Actively support and deliver the development and implementation of the Cost Management transformation agenda.
- Lead, develop and coach a professional finance team.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Qualified Accountant
- 5 years post qualification experience
- Personal credibility in Finance and related technical areas
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Cost reduction, supply and value chain management
- IT/Property Cost Management
- Ability to successfully lead a team of finance professionals
- Financial services knowledge (industry trends and methods, products, cost drivers etc.)
- Ability to lead a team and Group Services budget of £300M.

The role is based in Wiltshire this is commutable from Bristol, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
