Head of Commercial & Business Development: I am currently working with a very exciting client - the UK Exploration wing of one of the world's largest Oil & Gas companies. This division has just acquired a significant number of assets, which hopefully will result in them more than tripling their production over the next few years. The company are as a result growing rapidly and continuing to look for key strategic acquisitions to help develop their portfolio.

The main focus of the role will be on supporting the Exploration, Development & Production departments on all Commercial matters. Specific responsibilities include:

+ hiring and training/coaching members of the company's Business Development and Commercial functions

+ acting as a member of the overall business' Leadership Team

+ running acquisition and divestment projects

+ managing Joint Venture and Operating Agreements, amongst others

+ running the Petroleum Economics Team

To be considered for this challenging and varied role, you must have the following skills/qualifications:

+ hands on experience of a number of upstream agreements including operating agreements, DSAs (decommissioning security agreements) and transportation agreements

+ experience managing upstream asset acquisitions and disposals

+ a good understanding of Petroleum Economics

+ significant upstream experience

+ extensive experience of people management

+ strong UKCS experience

+ degree-qualified
