Head of Architecture

HEAD OF ARCHITECTURE - DIGITAL - VOD - ROADMAPS - AGILE - HTML 5 - MOBILE - IOS - ANDROID - API LAYERS

My world renowned Broadcaster client is looking for an experienced Head of Digital Architecture to build and define the digital strategy, roadmap and resource required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsibility for architecture and development for all Digital platforms and services
- Leading the definition and execution of a variety of technology and product development (as opposed to product) roadmaps, development methodologies and standards
- Definition and implementation of the global technology architecture and development strategy
- Definition, implementation and management of the company's software and systems development pipeline
- Responsibility for the recruitment, management, development and retention of a high performing team, consisting of both front and Back End members of staff
- Development and maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets for the department.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- The individual must have significant Digital Architecture, design and development skills and experience as they relate to the creation of high-volume, consumer-facing Internet-based applications
- Experience of either VOD or Drupal
- The successful candidate must be someone who is capable of mentoring coders and testers and can architect the systems required to create products
- One of the key skills is the ability to design and lead the implementation of Front End experiences using HTML5 native technologies
- The individual must be comfortable directing architecture and development across a wide spectrum of applications, including areas such as content management, publishing, search, registration, billing, and payment systems
- The successful candidate must have a wealth of experience focused around mobile platforms such as IOS and Android as well as experience with API Layers
- The successful candidate must be highly skilled at managing an mentoring teams using Agile/Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
