HEAD OF ARCHITECTURE

My client are a leading public sector body who require a Head of Architecture drive governance structure across the group.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Ensuring that management, escalation and development of the Architecture is undertaken via robust governance and organisational frameworks; Providing guidelines, frameworks and models to provide consistency in the usage and documentation of TechnicalConsistency in the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture via the usage of published standard methods and products; Aligning business and IT via Architecture frameworks and governance; Ongoing management of the Architecture including the set-up of relevant governance structures and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- To deliver the migration of VME systems in scope, in so doing to:-
- Translate Business requirements into IT solutions, investment and migration roadmaps
- Define clearly as-is and to-be architectures, develop architectural patterns and roadmaps, ensure the programme is compliant with strategy and architecture, assess and communicate the value of the Architecture.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The architect will build effective relations and engage a wide range of stakeholders to help shape and deliver VME-R strategic change and to articulate to a professional standard complex technical ideas in clear, informative and accessible language, utilise appropriate methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing, directing, co-ordinating and monitoring ongoing activities.
