Hardware Lab Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a HARDWARE LAB ENGINEER to join our client in Cupertino, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Hardware Lab Engineer you will be responsible for the setting up and running of test to help Reliability research scientists and engineers understand emerging technologies for the next generation of products. In addition you will be responsible for the testing of prototypes and field products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be performing mechanical test like drop and vibration tests, trouble shoot prototype boards, performing thermal tests with environment chambers and other types of stress tests.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Seven (7+) years of technical work in reliability engineering/electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Experience with the following:
- Strong hands on test, debug and failure analysis skills.
- Mechanical testing for drop, vibration, mechanical stress testing on PCB's
- Operation of Environmental chambers.
- Test set up for electrical characterization.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Familiarity with cross sectioning and failure analysis.
- Debug of electronic boards down to the component level.
- Troubleshooting with oscilloscopes and/or other test equipment.
- Consumer electronics reliability testing.
- Degree in Physical Sciences/Engineering.
- Familiarity with mechanical intsron testing or equivalent.
- Basic MS software skills for reports.
