Hardware Engineer (COTS Infrastructure)

Hardware Engineer (Software/Networking Infrastructure) - 6 month contract - Frimley/Broad Oak- Defence/Maritime Project

Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates to apply for a Hardware Systems Engineer based with a Defence organisation in either Frimley or Broad Oak. This will be an initial 6 months contract at the rate of £40.15 per hour limited. Candidates will have to go through security clearance before starting, so please bear this in mind before applying.

*We are seeking candidates who have experience with COTS hardware design and PC technologies
*Knowledge and experience in COTS hardware design and PC technology.
*Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution etc.
*An excellent team player with strong communication skills, and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn on the job

Desirable Skills:

*Previous experience of installation and delivery to ship
*Experience in Naval CMS architecture, technical designincluding physical requirements and associated design & installation attributes, build & manufacture, physical integration and Acceptance
*Knowledge of current networking technology, utilising both Ethernet and serial interfaces
*Experience of working with sub-contractors
*Knowledge of the currently deployed CMS-1 system architecture or similar Naval CMS systems based on COTS technology
*Experience in Design Certification
*Previous experience in Dell server and networked systems
*Knowledge of PCoIP
