Hardware Design Engineer - Northampton - High Speed

Hardware Design Engineer required for a 6 month contract in Northampton. Skills Include High Speed Digital Design, Power Supply Simulation and Rugged Embedded Systems.

The client is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer with experience in Designing, Developing and Validating Rugged Embedded Systems. A successful candidate will have a good knowledge of Single Board Computers, Power Supply Simulation and Switch Mode Power Supplies. A mixture of network switches and Backplane technology is desirable.

The following skills are desirable for the Hardware Design Engineer role.

- Intel or Single Board Computers
- PCIe
- DDR or similar memory application
- Signal Integrity Simulation
- Network Switches
- Power Supply simulation and SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply)
- VPX or Similar Backplane Technology
- EMC compliance
- Designing for wide temperature ranges (-45 to )
