Greenhouse Technician Job

GREENHOUSE TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NORTH CHESTERFIELD, MO.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS A YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Nematology and Entomology Background/Experience
- Knowledge in Animal/Plant life science

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

- Planting, irrigation, fertilization and general care of agricultural plants grown in a controlled environment.
- Assisting project managers in maintaining various nematode and insect populations on plant hosts.
- General good lab practices and care of lab and controlled environment areas including organizing and cleaning of workspaces.
- Laboratory work and basic microscopy including preparation and analysis of samples, following protocols and recording data.
- Seasonal field work including planning and harvesting of agricultural crops by hand, plot maintenance and weeding, insect collection, soil sample collection and analysis.

WHAT YOUNEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates Degree or Equivalent
- Little creativity
- Relies and follows on instruction
