Our client in Zurich, a worldwide leading search engine provider, is currently seeking a GRAPHIC DESIGNER (M/F) to join their team for a 5 month contract. We are looking for experienced designers that know how to think big.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define a new visual design experience
Collaborate with designers, researchers PMs and engineers to craft an extensible visual language
Develop storyboards and collateral to communicate design ideas
Develop the design rationale and explain visual choices to cross-functional teams; express concepts verbally and visually
Produce high-quality visual designs - from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices at a variety of resolutions (icons, graphics, and marketing materials)
Create and iterate on assets that reflect a brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into a product
Push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching (and solving) a problem
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years relevant work experience with a BA/BS in Graphic Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction or similar; or 4 years relevant work experience
Work samples exhibiting complex problem-solving, user focus, and ability to launch products
Comprehensive understanding of interaction conventions and aesthetic principles
Ability to produce low and high fidelity mockups using industry standard software
Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently to meet project goals
Strong understanding of web technologies and best practices for web design
Excellent communication skills in expressing conceptual ideas and design rationale
