Grants Officer

A public sector client of ours are currently recruiting for a Grant Officer on an initial 3 month contract.

Location: Borehamwood

Length of Contract: 3 months (scope to extend)

Start Date: ASAP

Duties.

To process applications for Disabled Facilities Grants, including carrying out means tests, site visits, preparation of schedule of works and grant payments.

Provision of advice to potential grant applicants. Preparation of grant approval and similar documentation and determination of eligible expense.

Site visits to determine whether or not proposed adaptations are reasonable and practicable and if necessary carry out house fitness assessment's.

Skills:

Detailed knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grant administration.

Effective communication skills. May need to be sensitive and/or assertive depending on circumstances and deal appropriately with sensitive personal or financial information.

Be well presented together with good working IT knowledge.
