Purpose Of Position :

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for participating in activities required to

provide the organisation of an effective and efficient occupational therapy service

within allocated clinical caseloads. The Occupational Therapist will function as part of a multidisciplinary team assist with timely and comprehensive assessment and occupational therapy interventions. This may include working in a variety of clinical caseloads and settings such as

orthopaedic, acute medical, surgical, medical assessment unit, emergency, subacute, and/or other caseloads as required.

Key responsibilities

This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery. This encompasses leadership and management, human resource management, continuing improvement, information management, and safe practice and environment functions
