Based at the Headquarters in Switzerland, near Zug, our clients Corporate IT Department is looking for a Global Technical Infrastructure Architect.
This is a very exciting role to work with one of the largest company's world wide. You will be working within a complex environment with a team of Infrastructure, networking and security specialists.
The role will start as a 12 months contract but if you prove yourself then the possibility of the contract being extended is fairly high.
This successful candidate will be responsible for the Global Technical Infrastructure Architecture.
THE POSITION ENCOMPASSES:
- Provide clear management briefings to the CIO focusing on running operations and forward looking strategy
- Work with an international network of IT managers and provide thought leadership in the area of IT infrastructure
- Define infrastructure standards, policies and procedures to meet company goals
- Manage relationships with strategic 3rd party vendors in support of the Global Messaging and Directory platforms
- Escalate and manage issues affecting Group wide systems
- Create and review technical designs, ensuring conformance to standards and design choices
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations and decisions: build solid business cases for investment decisions
- Develop a roadmap for Messaging. Directory and Supporting Services
- Provide 4th line support where required
- Manage changes to existing Corporate If Infrastructure
- Work with Corporate IT Information Security and provide input into Group wide security policies and procedures
REQUIRES EXPERIENCE IN:
- Global IT Infrastructure and Architecture with multiple country implementation
- Global IT Service Management, Service Operation and continual service improvement
- Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Systems Monitoring and Management
- Microsoft Lync, Microsoft NU
- Strong technical analysis skills
- Risk and change management
TOGETHER WITH:
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to mentor employees to optimize their performance
- Excellent team player
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in order to communicate with all levels of the business & IT
- Delivery and customer focused: delivers quality, efficiently, hitting deadlines and within budget
- Open and transparent, able to report the bad news too
THEY LOOK FOR CANDIDATES WITH:
- 8-10+ years experience in operating large scale IT infrastructure on a global scale
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Accreditation with recognized Project Management methodologies (PRINCE2, PM1, etc.)
- Industry specific qualifications (MCSE, etc)
