Global Solutions Architect

YOUR POSITION

As a Global Solutions Architect within the Data Centre Technical Services Engineering team, you will design, develop and implement IT infrastructure solutions on local, regional or global level and make optimal use of the existing or new technologies in order to meet current and future business demands. As a broadly oriented IT infrastructure expert you will contribute to the organisation with the required knowledge and experience to leverage on standardisation and innovation. You will be working from the Utrecht office.

You will work in a highly dynamic and global IT environment in which we operate Windows, Linux and Solaris Servers in more than 25 countries. You work as a global representative in a multi-disciplined team with colleagues in Utrecht. You have proven experience with server platforms designs and implementations and are able to engineer mixed WindowsWindows Active Directory; DNS; DHCP; IIS; Apache; IT Security; RHEL; Red Hat Satellite; Experience with Centrify is preferred not required.

Proven experience with global infrastructure designs and deployments

Knowledge of:

Converged computing; Blade server technology

Hypervisors like Hyper-V, Xen/KVM and VMWare

Distributed infrastructures

Storage solutions like DAS, NAS, SAN and storage networks like FC, iSCSI and FCoE

Conceptual knowledge of Database systems and components (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)

OUR ORGANIZATION

IT Infrastructure is one of the IT departments within the Bank organisation. The department controls business IT processes and services the total IT Infrastructure of the Bank Wholesale Rural & Retail organisation. The HQ of IT Infrastructure is located in London and Utrecht.

The unit ITI DCTS (Data Centre Technical Services) is one of the units within IT Infrastructure and is based in London and Utrecht and is globally responsible for the Data Centre Infrastructure services like Data Centres, Servers, Storage, Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware.
