Global Sales Director - Instrumentation

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for an exciting growing organisation who have a strong reputation in the provision of products and services to safety critical industries. It holds a pre-eminent position in the design and manufacture of electronic components in the Intrinsically Safe and Functional Safety fields. Major markets are the global underground mining, tunnelling and rail industries. This position will be responsible for the execution of an ambitious business plan that will seek to increase sales from £10m to £75m over the next 7 years through a combination of aggressive organic growth and a carefully targeted acquisition strategy. Company Aims: To be profitable; to enjoy the experience; to be the recognized leader in our markets through differentiated products and services; to be different to the rest Education/Training Educated to a minimum of HNC level, preferably with a technical or business bias Experience 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in an instrumentation based environment Skills Demonstrate experience in the development of key account relationships Ability to manage 3rd party distribution partnerships Relevant experience with market or business intelligence research Ability to think analytically and strategically, critically evaluate and clearly synthesise information. Ability to organize and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines Demonstrate the ability to persuade and negotiate at the highest levels within a customer's organisation Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills to enable clear communication internally and externally to successfully impart relevant information. Demonstrate leadership abilities Have a generally strong and broad set of business skills Demonstrate a focus on the execution of business plans and strategy Possess very good computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to work independently, make decisions and take initiative. TRAVEL Must be able to travel up 60% of time,, including substantial international travel Remuneration Whilst negotiable to attract the best candidate the envisages salary will be a basic salary of between £70,000 to £85,000 plus bonus, car and executive package.
