Job Title: Global Infrastructure Services Architect Job Type: Contract Location: Reading, UK Contract Rate: Negotiable Daily Rate, around £120 plus expenses Contract Length: 3 Months+ Our Client, one of the world's largest outsourcing and IT consultancies, is looking to recruit a contract Global Infrastructure Services Architect to join their team in Reading. Global Infrastructure Services Architect will need to have the following experience. · Architecting(L1) - Responsible for contributing to the design & architecture for small to medium projects. Works on problems of highly complex scope, through expert usage of non-standard concepts & principles requiring high levels of judgement & interpretation. Works as a guide and sets directions for medium sized projects of reasonable complexity. Applies own judgement to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed by project teams. Role is capable of finding out new methods and processes to approach complex situations in the respective area(s) of expertise. Requires extensive knowledge of multiple development technologies/expert knowledge of one technology. Expected to continue to build upon domain knowledge and technical/proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise, while adapting standard principles to new or changed conditions in day to day work. Has the ability to respond to detailed queries. May be called upon to advise Sr Management on specialised technical issues. Responsible for coaching, guiding and mentoring junior members in the team to help them scale up faster. · Citrix Architecting(L1) - Citrix Xenapps design and recommendations for different applications & business scenarios. Assessment of Citrix presentation/Xenapp infrastructure. Review the current Citrix presentation/Xenapp Infra. Prepare the planning, Risk & Mitigations approach for smoother migrations & upgrades. Identify the integration & Co-Existence challenges. Citrix presentation/Xenapp Capacity requirement gathering. Review the Design considerations & forecast the implementation roadmap. Work with other infrastructure architects to drive consistent identification of including the development of common, Cross-business standards as appropriate. Prepare & review SOW. Prepare & Define. Project plain, work break down. Structure to meet the project time lines. Should have end to end understanding of the infrastructure. Should be able to provide high level architecture design solutions considering the customer's infrastructure. · Vmware Architecting(L1) - VMware design and recommendations for different Application & business scenarios. Assessment of VMware infrastructure. Review the current VMware Infra. Prepare the planning, Risk & Mitigations approach for smoother migrations & upgrades. Identify the integration & Co-Existence challenges. VMware Capacity Requirement gathering. Review the VMware architecture Design. Work with other infrastructure architects to drive consistent identification of standards, including the development of common, Cross-business standards as appropriate. Prepare & review SOW. · Windows & AD Architecting(L1) - Active Directory design and recommendations for different business scenarios. Assessment of Active directory infrastructure. Review the current AD Infra Prepare the planning, Risk & Mitigations approach for smoother migrations & upgrades. Identify the integration & Co-Existence challenges. AD Capacity Requirement gathering. Review the Active Directory Forest & Domain Design. Work with other infrastructure architects to drive consistent identification of standards, including the development of common, Cross-business standards as appropriate. Prepare & review SOW. · Datacenter Architecting - Wintel Platform Core(L2)- · English Language(L1)- · Vmware Admin(L3) - Firmware Patch Administration. ESX Server Systems Security. Boot Disk Mirroring. ESX OS Performance tuning & management. ESX Hardware Upgrade, OS Upgrade. Vmware File system upgrade (VMFS Volumes). Vmware ESX Server Migration (2.x to 3.x/3.0 to 3.x or 4.0).Storage allocation to Guest. Vmware HA Configuration & Administration. Vmware DRS Configuration & administration. Vmware Datastore Management. VM Cluster Administration. Vmotion Administration. Cluster Configuration/re-configuration. All candidates must be strong Global Infrastructure Services Architects with in depth knowledge of Architecting, Citrix Architecting, VMware Architecting and Windows & AD Architecting.
