My clients a leading bank based in Canary Wharf currently seek a Global Commodity Manager - INDIRECT SERVICES , c.65k

Forming an integral part of a changing global procurement function you will help to develop and implement the strategic direction of the HR/SERVICES commodity. Through proactively driving the entire supplier lifecycle and with some team management responsibilities you will ensure a seamless supply of goods and services, underpinned by the awareness of risk.

In this senior role responsible for $250 -$400 of spend key deliverables will fall across:

*Setting long term commercial strategic for the Services category
*Achieving assigned commodity targets for cost reduction
*Locally implementing Global Category Strategies
*Influencing business and wider commodity stakeholders
*Leading a developing a team
*Provide subject mater expertise on complex purchasing, technical. Legal & contractual issues.
*Governance around best practice and purchasing policy
*Supplier relationship management and review - with particular emphasis on CSR and ethical trading

As this organisation is focussed on continuous professional development this role could suit a candidate with a good procurement services category experience who is looking to step up and specialise in the HR category and gradually take on team management responsibilities

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

*Very strong indirect procurement experience
*Services procurement experience essential
*HR procurement experience desirable - especially across any of the following:
Mobility/relocations, healthcare services, insurance, payroll, learning/training
*Experience managing the RFP process for outsourced services
*Strong experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects
*Experience working in a large complex, matrix, global business - Financial Services advantageous yet non essential
