GIS Infrastructure/System Administrator-Specialized

SUMMARY:
Support and administration of network management and monitoring tools/applications. This is a unique position, requiring a broad range of knowledge in several IT platforms including Network, Server, and Programming.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and administration of Network management and monitoring tools/applications including installation, support, upgrades, identification and resolution of problems, and customer requested enhancements. Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components. Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure. Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support. This will occasionally require off-shift and weekend support.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Computer related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent). Progressively responsible IT job related experiences.

LAN Technologies, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level required;

HTML, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level Preferred;

IBM Intel based x series, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level Preferred;

PHP, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level Preferred;

Perl, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level Required;

Documentation, 2 years' experience,
Intermediate skill level Preferred
